Program Details

Eligibility to Apply:

Applicants should preferably reside in the NY metropolitan area and be able to attend all three weeks of the program.

Who can Apply:

The program targets rising 10th, 11th, & 12th graders from racial/ethnic groups underrepresented in AI and tech. Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students, and students with demonstrated financial need are encouraged to apply.

Columbia AI4ALL 2022 Summer Program:

June 27th - July 15, 2022 (three weeks)

Program Location:

The program will take place virtually via Zoom.

Sample Topics:

• Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Society 

• Basics and applications of Social Science Research 

• Classification/Clustering

Sample Schedule:

     11:00am- Intro to Social Work

     11:30am- Data & Bias

     1:00pm- Lunch

     2:00pm- Guest Speaker

     2:15pm- Programming

     4:00pm- Office Hours (optional)

• Lectures from staff 
• Presentations from guest speakers
• Hands-on experience (e.g., small group project and presentation)
• Community Building
